ABOUT Adam Loo

Business and Technology Law

As a long time entrepreneur, Adam has worked on all fronts of small business, from creative technology, ideation to business development. Raised in an entrepreneurial Chinese immigrant family, he was exposed at an early age to many of the unique legal challenges faced by upcoming and established entrepreneurs, many of which can be extremely difficult to navigate.

As a founder of ACTO Technologies, he experienced first hand the same challenges with growing his own business, which motivated him to move on to his new endeavour – to support the growth of small businesses and startups as a lawyer. The goal – to make the legal processes for entrepreneurs painless, efficient and effective.

Adam attained his Dual JD degree from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, which created a unique experience to be exposed to cross-border/international commercial relationships in a legal context. His special interest in the law and entrepreneurship lead him to be a key member of the Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship Clinic at the University of Windsor. As an undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo, he worked several years as a Digital Media Producer, exercising his passion for digital media technology.

Outside of providing legal services, Adam develops mini-apps and also designs interactive websites.
